FamilyOfficesGrowingtheReGenEcosystem

Family Offices are the natural founding partners because they can fund the shared ecosystem, use its first commercial platform ReGen Impact, invest in the underlying infrastructure and activate capital across their portfolios.

KNE / ReGen Ecosystem €10M
€10M — Catalytic & mission-aligned capital for regenerative education, community infrastructure, and ecosystem development.
coOwn Infrastructure €25M
€25M — Technology and commercial investment in the shared digital infrastructure for Living Platforms, Brains, and interoperable ecosystems.

One target group. Multiple participation pathways. One expanding ecosystem.

Frequently Asked Questions

The following questions address the most important structural, financial and strategic aspects of the opportunity. For more specific questions, please use the Investment Brain or contact us directly.

What is being funded or invested in?

There are currently two primary capital pathways. The KNE Sustainability Institute gGmbH is seeking €10 million in catalytic and philanthropic funding to build the shared ReGen ecosystem, including its network, educational programmes, Foundries and ReGen-specific platform layers. Separately, coOwn is seeking €25 million in investment capital to develop and scale the underlying digital infrastructure.

KNE Global GmbH is the commercial development and capital activation company within the ecosystem. It is not currently presented as a generally available direct investment opportunity. ReGen Impact is a commercial product operated by KNE Global and not a separate investable entity.

Why are Family Offices the first target group?

Family Offices can combine roles that are normally distributed across several organisations. They may act as philanthropic funders, direct investors, long-term owners, active portfolio developers, ReGen Impact customers and future capital partners.

Their portfolios also contain companies, ventures, foundations, advisors and co-investors that can become real users and network nodes. This allows the ecosystem to begin with a small number of highly relevant partners while creating immediate utility and a path towards broader network effects.

The strategy is therefore Family-Office-first, not because the ecosystem is only intended for Family Offices, but because they are the strongest possible starting point.

What role does KNE Global GmbH play?

KNE Global is the commercial venture, platform and capital activation arm of the ReGen ecosystem.

It develops and operates commercial applications such as ReGen Impact, advises organisations on the creation of Living Platforms, helps regenerative ventures become AI-native by design, supports venture development, may hold strategic participations and can help prepare future investment vehicles such as a ReGen Impact Fund.

The KNE Sustainability Institute develops the mission-led commons. KNE Global translates suitable and validated ecosystem potential into scalable economic activity.

Is ReGen Impact part of the investment opportunity?

ReGen Impact is not a separate company or investment instrument. It is the first commercial platform application operated by KNE Global GmbH.

Its strategic relevance is that it provides an immediate entry market, a potential source of customer-financed implementation revenue and a mechanism through which Family Offices can activate portfolio companies, co-investors and opportunities.

A Family Office can become a ReGen Impact customer or Founding Design Partner through a commercial agreement. This relationship remains separate from funding the Institute or investing in coOwn.

Why are ReGen and coOwn being developed together?

ReGen provides the mission, communities, knowledge, ventures, educational programmes and real-world applications. coOwn provides the shared technological infrastructure through which Living Spaces, Brains, permissions, context and matching can operate.

ReGen gives the infrastructure a major flagship ecosystem and concrete applications. coOwn enables ReGen to scale without having to build every foundational technology component independently.

The relationship is designed to combine an immediate commercial use case with a longer-term infrastructure vision.

How are nonprofit funding and commercial benefits separated?

Funding or donations to the KNE Sustainability Institute must support its statutory nonprofit purposes and cannot be contractually exchanged for commercial advantages.

Commercial services provided by KNE Global GmbH - such as ReGen Impact, portfolio intelligence, platform development or advisory work - are governed through separate agreements and market-based remuneration.

A Family Office may participate in multiple roles, but each relationship must remain legally, financially and operationally distinct.

What is already available, and what still needs to be built?

The current ecosystem includes existing programmes, networks, platform components, partnerships and initial coOwn capabilities. ReGen Impact and the broader connected platform architecture are entering a Founding Design Partner and implementation phase.

The Pitch and Deep Dives distinguish between: existing capabilities, configurable pilot functionality, enterprise-ready functionality, the longer-term infrastructure vision. No visitor should assume that every element of the full vision is already completed.

What is the next step for an interested Family Office?

The recommended first step is to review The Pitch and ask the Investment Brain any initial questions.

A Family Office can then request: a personal introductory conversation, access to selected Deep Dives,

  • a private ReGen Impact demonstration, or access to the protected Data Room. Data Room access is reviewed individually because it contains more detailed and potentially confidential information about KNE/ReGen and coOwn.
